How would Anse react to a typical mall environment? Where would he go? What would he buy? What would the other characters buy?
Imagine that the ONLY way the Bundrens could communicate was via text message on their I-phone/Blackberry/cell phone. What would they say to each other? How would it look? What messages might they send to Peabody or Tull or any of the other minor characters? Capture the possibilities in the appropriate format and share/post your work with others via the broadest possible spectrum.
What missing resources/factors/opportunities would have made a difference in the life of the Bundrens? If you were Warren Buffett/The Good Fairy/Santa Claus, what would you do to help the Bundrens? What would the characters of the book have to say about that help, and how would they react? Write and/or act out (and film) what happens. Digital videos and/or I-movies should be attached to blogs or wikis or socially produced electronic venues, such as You-Tube.
Did I mention that the Bundren Family home was sucked into a vortex also—and deposited nearby in Flat Branch Park. To add to the chaos and their good fortune, Bundrens have won a home/beauty makeover—complete with a resident life-coach. Please help by listing and explaining in detail the improvements that could be made to impact the life of Anse, Dewey Dell, Darl, Vardaman and Cash. After their make-overs, have them attend Addie’s memorial service (or a red-carpet event, in their time, or ours). What would their home farm look like after the makeover? What would their transportation look like?
