What would happen if the whole Bundren family was transported to Columbia, Missouri--(or your home town) and settled with a puff of dust on the cobbled streets of 5th and Cherry, right in front of Kinko's--in the year 2008--everyone, and everything-- Anse, Dewey Dell, Jewel, Vardamin, the wagon and mules, Cash's tools, Dewey Dell's package, and Addie-in-a-box with a broken-legged Cash on top.
